Ready to start looking for your new best friend?!!
The first step in setting up an adoption meeting is for you to fill out the application to adopt!
We are a foster based rescue all visits are by appointment only
The link below will take you directly to our online application
Files coming soon.
If your considering adoption the first step would be to fill out the application. Once approved we're happy to put you in touch with the foster family of the pet your interested in. If all goes well and you both feel it may be a good fit the next step is visiting. Each pet is treated as an individual so the adoption requirements will depend on a specific pets needs rather than a general rule, like a fenced yard, no kids, etc... We look for the home that best fits not necessarily the first to apply.
Adoption fees vary and are posted in the pets listing. All dogs / cats are vetted before going home. This includes being current on vaccinations, spay / neuter, micro chip, heartworm test, FeLV/FIV, health certificate, treating any known medical conditions. While in our care all pets are wormed on a regular basis and receive flea / tic & heartworm preventatives.
We do not cover any vetting or costs after adoption. All pets are adopted as is for companion animals only. We do not evaluate for service or therapy needs. We release any know information we have on the dog as far as health or behavior but there is always the possibility that issues can arise after bringing a pet home that were not apparent at the time of adoption.
We require an approve application be on file before scheduling visits. We allow 24 hrs after the visit for a final decision on adoption before moving on to the next applicant. We have a no hold policy for any pet fully vetted and ready to go home. We have a waiting list for pups & kittens and will give priority to those on the list before accepting new applications. ALL dogs / cats will be altered no exceptions. If a dog is not ready to go home at the time of the visit we will require a hold deposit be place to secure the adoption until they can be released to their adopters.
Have you adopted with us? We love to share updates on our past pets! Of course we will not post any pics sent to us without your permission.
Things in rescue are always changing so while we grow and move forward we will try our best to update information as quickly as possible. If we haven't answered all of your questions here please go to the contact page and send us a message. We're happy to talk more.

Those eyes, amazing! This is Luna, possibly Husky mix, possibly Australian Shep mix, possibly German Shep mix, we have no idea, but she sure is a beauty! Luna has spent several months waiting for a home in the south with no one interested. We’d love to get this girl north as soon as possible so if you’re interested in fostering or adoption, please send us a message. We’re told she loves kids, she’s fine with the cat and great with other dogs. Sweet Luna is only around 1yr old about 60 lbs
He’s a sweet, energetic, young boy estimated to be under 3. Rex has now spent two thanksgivings at the shelter, two Christmas, two New Years. That means he's spent about half of his life, *HALF OF HIS LIFE!! in the shelter. Thats just wrong. He previously had a family he wandered away from and they did not want him back, what a shame. There he lived with children and other dogs with no known issues. Rex is healthy, active and desperately in need of a home. Please consider helping him.
Mazie really wants a family of her very own. She's a sweet, social, little ball of energy, so needs family that can keep up. If you think you may be a good fit send us a message, she's ready for meet & greets now. Kids, cats and other dogs are all ok with Mazie, she loves everyone! She's listed as a hound / bully mix about 12 weeks old
Awww, isn’t Max just the cutest little thing! He’s one of our new arrivals, about 12 weeks old 15 lbs and so very sweet! If you’d like to give him a forever home send us a message.
Meet Dottie & Jesse, two senior standard poodles who recently came into our rescue from a local family. This is a male / female pair who we’d would like to keep together in their new home. They are about 9- 10 years old, 60 lbs, fully vetted, friendly. While we are still getting to know them, as they’ve only been in care for about a week, we’re happy to try to answer any questions you may have. Please message the page or send us an email.
Cricket is really hoping he can find his forever home soon. He's a tiny guy of about 7 lbs, paperwork says he's around 6 yrs old. He has the typical Chihuahua behavior of thinking he's bigger than he is. Cricket needs an adult only home, he is good with other dogs but can be bossy at times and yes he does bark!
This is Dora, she just wanted to say hello and let everyone know she is still looking for her perfect home. She is very sweet, good with other dogs, though she tends to be skittish so teenagers or older will be best for her. She's come a long way since arriving, about a year ago, but still needs a bit more people interaction to feel comfortable. She is fully vetted with no known health issues. Dora is about 5 yrs old 25 lbs, mixed breed, brown / white.
Franny has been in care for several months. She takes a while to trust you. She is a sweet girl when she gets to know you. Shows no aggression towards people or other dogs. she’s going to need a quiet home with no children. she’s gonna need a household that will let her take her time to come out of her shell and work with her
He does not like anything going over his head, he was terrified of being groomed, not really letting us near his face or neck. can be a nervous little guy. That said he is also very sweet and in the right home will be a great companion. Winston is about 2 years old 10 - 12 pounds, paperwork has him listed as a Tibetan terrier mix. His perfect home would be an adult only, quiet place he can feel comfortable. He has been OK with the other dogs here though would probably be best as an only dog.
Very sweet and super shy, Benson is looking for a calm, quiet adult only home. He is about 20 lbs, very nervous but no aggression, he is good with other dogs, and doesn't pay any attention to the cats He'll need a family willing to work with him on trusting them and someone able to give him lots of time to adjust to a new home.
Cokki hasn’t made a sound since arriving. She pays no attention to the other dogs, she’s very timid, but she loves belly rubs. Her paperwork simply has her listed as a mixed breed, possibly Papillion, Pomeranian, Chihuahua?? Whatever she is, she’s a gorgeous little lady in need of a calm, quiet adult only home. She is listed as about 7 yrs old 7 lbs.

This green eyed beauty will soon be ready for adoption but right now she’s in need of a foster home. We’ve named her Esmeralda, she seeks attention though can be a bit shy at first. She came to us locally after losing her home. She seems ok with kids and dogs, she was previously living with both, as well as other cats.
Sadie is a very sweet girl around 1-2 yrs old. She's been in a foster home with kids, cats and dogs without issue
